Jimmy began his career in 2018 as a Tree Climber apprentice in Hong Kong. Since then, he has earned both the ISA Certified Tree Climber and ISA Certified Arborist credentials. After gaining valuable experience working with local companies in Canada, he launched his own business, 4 Tree Service Ltd., in 2023. His goal is to provide local tree owners with a unique service that integrates his international perspectives with professional local care.
Mandy’s journey to the canopy began in the office. After graduating and pursuing a corporate role, she realized her heart belonged to the trees. Today, she is an ISA Certified Arborist and also Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, who combines technical skill with a deep, investigative mindset. Mandy loves “digging into” the details, focusing on tree health and the science behind how trees grow and thrive.
In 2025, she demonstrated her prowess in the field by winning the Women’s Rookie Award at the ISA Prairie Chapter Tree Climbing Competition, while also earning her third credential as an ISA Certified Tree Climber.

Jimmy rescued our cat from a tree in our yard. He was amazing! They drove an hour to come and help us retrieve her. We are very grateful and will definitely use him for actual tree work when needed.

The fastest to come out for a quote, quickest to send over all their documents (WCB, insurance, arborist certification), and had the best price for tree removal – they also speak Cantonese (Jimmy & Mandy)
I had to make some last-minute changes and they were very accommodating throughout. There were some really tight spots with a fence and deck, and Jimmy was super technical – you can tell he’s a pro!

If you’re planning to cut down trees, you should definitely choose them! We had 22 trees, and they cut down 10 trees that were about 10–15 meters tall. They worked so hard and carefully, cutting and cleaning up everything so thoroughly. They didn’t even take a break—we had to tell them to please rest. We’re truly satisfied. Jimmy and Mandy were professional and did the job just as we wanted without causing any damage to our property. Highly recommended!
Jimmy and Mandy are amazing professionals! We called them on a Saturday for a quote for tree pruning and removal of a dead aspen. They came over right away that day and provided us a very reasonable price as well as provided more info we needed to make a decision on the job. On the work day, they showed up on time and did everything they said they would do and more! They did a fantastic job as well a did a thorough clean up after! Kudos to Jimmy and Mandy for their professional, friendly and prompt service! I highly recommend 4 Tree Service Ltd. to anyone who needs work done on their trees. We live about 100 km from Calgary and I noticed them working in our area one morning. I introduced myself, asked if they could stop by our house at their convenience to give us a quote on removing 2 huge spruce trees that were planted 50 years ago beneath the power lines. Obviously those developers had no concept of how tall spruce trees grow. It was past time to have them cut down before a good wind blew them on to a house or into the power lines. Jimmy and Mandy stopped by that evening, sent a quote overnight and we arranged a date for them to return when they were next in our area. We appreciated their prompt response, reasonable quote and how well they communicated regularly. It was amazing to watch them work and recognize their attention to safety and property. I do miss the trees, but know they had to go. Jimmy and Mandy gave us recommendations on what to next plant in the space, which was appreciated. Three of our housecats were thrilled to meet Jimmy and Mandy as well. (a couple are too shy to meet anyone at all!) I am happy to give these hardworking people a 5 star rating and wish them well in their future endeavours.
